A gift with a video message left us wanting more

Since 2003, the Association EMDR Netherlands has been the professional association for EMDR therapists: professionals who help people process trauma and PTSD. The association now has over 7,000 members, and runs largely on the dedication of an involved board, committees, and volunteers.

Precisely those people were the ones EMDR Netherlands wanted to thank for Christmas. More than a hundred board members, committee members, and active members received a personal Christmas greeting through Cadeo, allowing everyone to choose a gift that suited them.

A personal start with a video from the board

Upon opening the Cadeo, a personal video message from the board immediately appeared on screen. This was clearly well-received, as one of the recipients let us know:

"Thank you very much for this gift! And the nice video :)"

The appreciation was widespread. The Christmas gift was redeemed by almost everyone (99%), and the campaign received an excellent satisfaction score of 9.8. Three-quarters of the recipients spontaneously sent back a personal thank-you, including this one:

"Great variety of choices, I think everyone can find something nice here."

Freedom of choice that fits

That "something nice for everyone" was evident from the choices. In addition to popular gift cards, many recipients chose a physical gift, ranging from Ottolenghi's cookbook to kitchenware. Everyone found something that suited them, instead of receiving the exact same package for the entire group.

A number of recipients chose to donate instead of spending it on themselves. Fitting for the work of the association, a portion of this went to Trauma Aid, alongside charities such as Vluchtelingenwerk (Dutch Council for Refugees), War Child, and the Dierenbescherming (Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals). Additionally, ten trees were restored via Treebytree thanks to people who converted their Cadeo into planting a tree.

And in the summer again

The enthusiasm over the holidays was so great that EMDR Netherlands decided to also handle the summer gift through Cadeo. This time with a personal, handwritten card in a golden envelope, with which everyone could choose a summery experience: from a weekend getaway to a day out, a sauna visit, or a dinner voucher.

There is actually no better compliment: a Christmas greeting that was so well-received that the summer gift was immediately arranged through Cadeo as well.
